Happy Valley-Goose Bay desperately needs a new wellness centre. The Labrador Training Centre is old and falling apart. There are so many issues with the current facility. The roof leaks regularly often leading to the cancellation of sports/exercise events. The pool is not accessible to those with mobility issues.
The pool is too small at 3 lanes and only 18m in length. There are no family changing rooms. There is no walking track. There is no cardio or weight room. There is no air conditioning.
The town council is in support of a new wellness centre for Goose Bay. Let's get the support of the provincial government as well!
We, the undersigned, strongly feel that a new wellness centre is desperately needed in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, and we would use it on a regular basis.
