MUNICIPALITY IS EVICTING TRADERS AT "THE STABLES" IN ORDER TO BUILD A JUVENILE SOCCER STADIUM AND HOTEL FOR JUVENILES.
TRADERS ARE BEING FORCEFULLY EVICTED FROM THE STABLES , PEOPLE ARE LOSING THEIR ONLY SOURCE OF INCOME AND MANY WILL BECOME JOBLESS.
We, the undersigned, urge the Ethekwini Municipality to grant the Trade Body of the Stables Lifestyle Market
a short term lease post 31 March 2020, until the market can be relocated. The market is the only income
source for many traders who in turn employ many helpers who with otherwise be unemployed.
Its operation also generates a positive ripple effect on the economy of the city.
