The Multiple Sclerosis Society each year sponsors a walk at Jones Beach to raise funds for research and help individuals with MS in need. Multiple Sclerosis is a chronic debilitating progressive disease involving damage to the sheaths of nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord, whose symptoms may include numbness, impairment of speech and of muscular coordination, blurred vision, and severe fatigue. It strikes without warning and changes our lives forever. Although I might have MS, it doesn't have me....but there are days that I can't achieve the simplest of tasks without great effort. Each year we rally our friends and family to walk and despite calls and letters to individuals responsible for the walk including, politicians we STILL having to pay to park at Jones Beach. Other walks I've participated in, there is no fee to park. It is an injustice to ask the individuals who are there to support you and your cause to pay $15.00 a car (none of which goes to individuals with MS or the Society). It also causes long line of up to an hour to get into the Parking Field.

PLEASE STOP CHARGING OUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY FOR PARKING FEES AT JONES BEACH FOR THE YEARLY MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS WALK. THE MS SOCIETY IS A NON-FOR-PROFIT AGENCY WHICH IS STRIVING TO FIND A CURE AND HELP INDIVIDUALS WITH MS. Their goal is to improve our lives. Charging those who have a disability and those who come to support our cause it extremely unfair.
