Mr. Eddie Borsboom's return to Severn Valley Tennis and Fitness Club as an available tennis professional

As we (members of the Severn Valley Tennis and Fitness Center (SVTFC)) are all painfully aware, Mr. Eddie Borsboom, our South African tennis instructor was unable to reenter the United States from Canada when attempting to renew his Visa this past February of 2011.

Eddie's verve and tenacity on the court during his clinics (Energy and Cardio games), working with the children's clinics and his outstanding individual lessons have, in the past, set SVTFC apart from other tennis venues across the state of Maryland. His gregarious nature and positive spirit made him loved by all - especially the children that he instructed.

Eddie's past as a professional tennis player to include an appearance at the French Open only served to enhance the complete respect he enjoyed from all that were instructed by him. His high value and high energy instruction were a welcome break from the often overwhelming routine of the work day for many of us. For myself (Harry Ward), I personally spent maximum time on the tennis court with Eddie either in clinics or under his instruction during individual lessons.

Many of us have enjoyed alot of quality time socializing with Eddie, going fly fishing, playing darts, pool and enjoying the heck out of it. He is a first class human being, and one that we've all missed greatly during his absence. During this time, Eddie has struggled daily in South Africa with his team of lawyers in pursuit of re-entry into the United States to resume his career as a tennis professional at SVTFC. The owners of SVTFC should be well informed that there is a large part of the club's membership that passionately supports Eddie's return to the United States and to SVTFC.

In fact, we support his return with the same sense of high energy and verve that Eddie Borsboom brought to each of our lives and tennis games individually and collectively. Eddie Borsboom was passionate about his students and even more instilled a sense of camaraderie and pursuit of excellence on the tennis court that is and has been integral to our great tennis club (SVTFC). The result of Eddie's painstaking efforts has been an outstanding level of rapport between all of the tennis instructors and their students in total at SVTFC.

By signing this petition, you will join me (Harry Ward) in strongly communicating to the owners of SVTFC that the return of Eddie Borsboom to the roster of available tennis instructors will significantly enhance the club's value to its membership and the club's stature among the elite tennis venues across the state of Maryland. Our strong and collective statement can be in no way misconstrued as a negative comment on any part of the present tennis staff or of the ownership of SVTFC, quite to the contrary, we are amazed and appreciative of the superlative level of instruction and experiences that the present staff and instructors deliver daily.

Our statement is simply that Eddie will significantly elevate our tennis experience upon his rightful return to the United States and his original place of employment.
