We support the Park Improvement Plan developed over the last three years by the community, the Board, Stan Dixon, and landscape architect HGOR (Attached).
Significant time and treasure have been spent on the plans for these improvements. The redesign of the park and associated buildings was a unified solution to many problems, not a menu of options to be chosen or removed singly.
We understand that there is strong opposition among some members and non-members. We respect the Board’s significant responsibility in guiding our community.
We do not accept the decision of the Board to remove the Pavilion and Wakefield Entrance and believe that further open discussion is called for.
We strongly believe that disagreements among neighbors be worked through in person so as best to foster bonds within our community- not divisions.
We respectfully request a special Open Meeting to discuss the park plan’s current direction to be attended by the following:
-All interested members, especially anyone opposed.
-The Principal-in-Charge of this project from HGOR.
-The Board.
-The Zoning Attorney who will represent us at permitting.
