The implementation of the new flower beds along Beenleigh's City Road, have seriously impacted on the amount of available car parking space for both local retailers & their customers.
Parking in the local Beenleigh area has been at a premium for many years. These new parking limitations have and will continue to significantly decrease local retailers productivity & directly jeopardise their lively hoods as well as those whom they employ.
As the development of the Beenleigh business precinct grows, this can only be viewed as a backward step in growth.
Especially in the current economic climate, the lose of these parking spaces, pose real threats of business closures.
We the undersigned, call on the Logan City Council to withdraw the flower beds as soon as possible and reinsert the lost car parking spaces, for the benefit of businesses & their clients. This in turn will encourage locals, visitors & employers to return to the business hub of Beenleigh's City Road.
