Making NY more safe

I would like to petition to get rid of the above ground power lines. Solar power would be the best and less disruptive way of changing over or it would cost about $ 8,000 per household to put the power lines under the ground. Every year most people on Long Island pay double that in taxes. Why not put some of that towards improving things? and saves people the money and worry every year. Scientists say the weathers only going to get worse and worse winter storms happen and hurricane season where thousands end up without power while the only power company PSEG has not enough men and takes millions of FEMA dollars from the government to go out on storm and still people are without power for up to 6 days after a 1 hour long storm. This is the definition of insanity. We need to care about ourselves and our future there are so many cancers and medical issues stemming from the fact it’s the oldest part of the US and has not been improved. There are oil tanks that pollute the environment and septic tanks that put our collective water and waste from our household into the ground water around us. We need to wake up!!!
