Schools nowadays are banning creativity and students rights to express themselves without actually having to talk.
Makeup-
Schools are saying makeup cant be worn as it's a distraction but really I don't think makeup would be such a distraction if they had just let us wear it years ago, then everyone would be used to it now! Not everyone wants to wear makeup so they don't have to but some are itching to express themselves this way and they should be allowed to.
Hair-
Some schools don't even allow girls to have there hair short. Isn't that awful! Also most/all schools don't allow unnatural colour hair. It's your hair! Do what you want with it!
Piercings-
Piercings are considered distracting much like everything else written about above. Piercings can be distracting but only if there are an excessive amount of them on someone.
I'm not saying students should get their whole face pierced or come to school with bright pink eyeshadow and blue lipstick or purple hair. (If they did, that's fine! Let them express themselves) But I just want to see a change in the way schools let us present ourselves and I, and many others, want to be able to express myself and be creative with my appearance.
