In recognition of the Suffering of and the contributions by Native American people, I wish to see National Native American Day become a federal holiday.
The US recognizes other holidays in honor of great men and groups of people so why not Natives?
We, the people of the United States of America, in recognition of the contributions by and suffering of the Native American people request the US Congress proclaim September 26th National Native American Day and making this an official Federal Holiday.
