As a mother of two children with cystic fibrosis (CF) I was horrified to hear that the Irish Government will not at the minute help towards the cost of a new medication called Kalydeco that will help prolong a CF patients life expectancy by 29+ years.

Why do people in Ireland pay taxes if the money cannot be put towards a good cause like this? And who do they (the government) think they are to choose how long a person lives they may as well call themselves murders because that's what a murderer does - chooses to end a persons life.

I would be very grateful if you, your friends, families and neighbours could sign this petition that I am going to send to d Irish government in a week or so and show that I as a parent think that they should help fund this new drug for CF patients...

Thank you for taking the time to read and hopefully sign this.

We the undersigned call upon the Irish Government to reconsider their decision and so help fund the new drug Kalydeco for cystic Fibrosis patients in Ireland.
