Make Gundam Online

Bandai has released numerous Gundam games in the past with moderate success. Such games, while good, don't necessarily capture the feel of the show. The games feel almost robotic in that there's no sympathy or feel for your opponents.

This petition is for the creation of an online Gundam game. The general premise is that when you create an account, you create an alias and choose your faction (Zeon or Federation). As you keep playing and improve, you rise through the ranks of either the Federation or the Principality of Zeon, depending on who you chose (Private, Ensign, Lieutenant, etc). The main draw in this game is the feel that there's someone on the other side of your suit who is out to destroy you, not just to win the match, but to protect his character and advance through the ranks. Gameplay could take place in space and on land in the various locales played out in the Mobile Suit Gundam anime series. A game such as this would truly capture the essence of Gundam.

A game such as this could perfectly utilize the X-Box Live and Playstation 2 and Gamecube's online plans.
