The proposed changes to Child Benefit payments is patently unfair.
Where two parents each earning slightly less than £44,000 - adding up to a combined family income of over £80,000 - will keep the benefit while households where just one parent earns over £44,000 will lose it.
We, the undersigned, call on the Prime Minister to reverse the proposal to withdraw child benefit payments for households where one householder is a higher rate taxpayer and base the calculation on the combined income of the household instead.
