Make A Skatepark in Cherry Willingham

Cherry Willingham is a nice village, home to many youths, but currently there is nowhere for these youths to hang out or to play. Many Teens and youths in the village BMX or skateboard or scooter and would like a skatepark built in the area for such purposes.

There are many reasons for the council to build a skatepark in the area, here are some examples; firstly, there are a lot of surrounding villages such as reepham, nettleham and fiskerton, with even more youths needing somewhere to go. Secondly, the nearest skatepark to these villages is welton, around 6 miles away, much too far to skate or cycle and many people dont always have access to a car or bus.

The second nearest is Fen Lane in Hykeham, even further away, and this skatepark doesnt accept scooters which means many are dissapointed and have to play on the street. This leading to my next point, surely the council itself doesn't wish children of the ages of 10 to around 17 or over to skate in the roads or around them, and when gangs of youths on bmx's gather outside the parade in Cherry Willingham, they are looked badly upon by passers by or older people are intimidated, therefore with a skatepark in the village, this would also be better for the elder population.

My final reason why is that this would be a great way of getting children out of the house, this also tying in with the active children scheme run by councils across the country. thats just a couple of reasons why.
