Mail-In Rebates Unfair to Consumers.
To US Congress, State Legislatures, Retailers participating in Rebate Programs, and all other concerned parties.
By signing this petition I agree with the following statements:
1. I find rebates to be a problem with modern consumerism.
2. Rebates are marketing tactics that have grown out of control.
3. I find myself being exploited due to the fact that I am at the will of the retailer or rebate agent.
4. Rebate time constraints imposed on to the buyer should also be equally imposed to the retailer or rebate fulfillment agent.
5. These constraints should be enforced to insure that product advertising and pricing is kept fair and accurate.
6. Failure to meet the obligation of said rebate(s) should result in strict and precise penalties.
7. A government agency or impartial third part needs to be in place to allow for recourse and enforcement of these rules.
