Every year, hundreds of women and their families in England suffer from Cervical changes and Cancers, because they are unable to access the same services that are available elsewhere in the UK .

In Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, women attend screening from the age of 20. In England the age is 25 regardless of symptoms and circumstances.

Our aim with this petition is to lower the age of screening in England so that these women do not suffer or lose their lives unnecessarily. This petition will be handed in to Downing Street by a Cervical Cancer survivor.

We, the undersigned, call on the government to lower the age of cervical screening in England from 25 years of age, to 20 years of age.

The Lower the age for Cervical Screening in England petition to The Prime Minister and the Department of Health was written by LowerTheAge and is in the category Health at GoPetition.
