LOCAL FLY FISHERMEN AND LADIES SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO FISH PONDEN RESERVOIR AS A CLUB

Ponden reservoir is situated in Stanbury West Yorkshire.

Was originally leased by Ponden Boat Club,over the years membership dwindled and to be able to use the Reservoir for gain a Commercial Company called High Adventure took over by joining the club as a group paying the lease with out signing or agreeing to a contract.

They are now controling who uses the reservoir, recently we were offered a stretch on the Reservoir by Yorkshire Water, and we recieved a contract.
We have to agree to pay High Adventure a fee for the use of a jetty, recently we were told that all our members would have to pay an £11.00 joining fee and £22.00 yearly fee which amounts to £2145.00 for our 65 members.

We feel that it is grosely unfair for this company to be able to control who uses the reservoir for leisure,they use it solely to to teach teenagers and school children to use canoes and boats, for reward.

We would as well as fly fishing from the bank as agreed have the use of rowing boats to fish from.
