Dear Presidents Dodik, Džaferović and Komšić,
We take this opportunity to draw your attention to the serious humanitarian crisis that is unfolding after the fire that destroyed the Lipa refugee camp.
On Wednesday 23 December the flames devastated the Lipa camp and aggravated the already precarious physical and psychological conditions of all the people housed in the overcrowded structure.
We are very concerned about the current health conditions of men, women and children who do not have a safe haven at this time.
We are all human beings with dignity and rights. Wars, poverty, violence. Anyone facing such an emergency needs to be supported.
We ask the immediate transfer to adequate facilities, basic necessities and psychological support for men, women and children.
We ask the relocation and immediate reception in European countries of these of men, women and children deprived for years of the fundamental right to a dignified life. No human being deserves so much suffering.
