Hurricane Sandy prevented our children from attending school. OEM even asked us not to, so they could save gas. We had no power. No heat. No hot water.
Why punish our children with making us give up a week's vacation, that each child and teacher could use! So much for Race to Nowhere!
We, the undersigned, call on Governor Cuomo, to grant a waiver on the 180 school days for those districts affected by Hurricane/Tropical Storm Sandy.
