In recent years, the programs offered by the Iowa Finance Authority (IFA) have been unavailable to Iowa consumers unless they elect to use a select group of lenders for financing.
Limiting a consumer's choice limits competition in the marketplace, and reduces the ability for a consumer to openly shop for mortgage financing.
As Halo Capital, a lender as defined by Iowa Code, specializes in only mortgage financing transactions and adheres to all State and Federal laws just as any other lending entity is required, the IFA programs should legitimately be available to consumers that would like the expertise and service provided by this entity.
We, the undersigned, request the Iowa Finance Authority to make available all of its programs to Halo Capital so that Iowans have true access to the benefits of IFA programs using a mortgage lender of their choice.
