This petition is about the legalization of Marijuna for recreational use in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Four states and the disctrict of columbia have all ready passed the use of this substance.
Marijuana has been studied to have less harmful effects then alcohol that is all ready stae regualted in Pennsylvania. In the states of Washington and Colorado the crime rate has dropped over time after legalization. Less young African Americans would be put in prisons because of non-violent crimes.
Colorado has obtianed over $35 million dollars from the sale of licences and taxation of the substance.
We the undersigned agree that the harsh laws on Marijuana in our state should be reformed and also beleive that as a capitalisic society we should have the right to of free enterprise for a substance that is easily controlable by our state goverment.
