In modern society it is not acceptable to have second class citizens. Gay people's relationships are equal to those of heterosexual people. We ask the Australian government to accept this principle by permitting gay marriages happen all around Australia. Macklemore -"Gay rights are human rights .There is no separation" Pink-"it's not a 'gay wedding 'its just a wedding , "its not 'gay marriage' , its just 'marriage'." We see that many famous people have their say about this which has made the British government allows homosexual marriages to occur. Here in Australia our government is too blind to see that homosexuality is not a disease but is what the person is. This doesn't make the person inferior to anyone. They deserve equal rights in everything including who they love and marry.
We the undersigned demand the Australian government recognises the will of the majority of people and permit marriage between people of the same gender. Homosexuals are equal to all other citizens but are denied this basic right and we want the government to address this injustice.
