PLEASE LEAVE THE FLAGS UP TIL JULY 4th!
As a veteran, I find Duluth to be the most patriotic town in which I have ever lived. Every Veterans Day and Memorial Day, our streets are lined with markers and flags naming the local heroes who served to protect our great country.
Flags went up last week for Memorial Day and will be coming down and stored the first week of June, just before FLAG DAY on June 14. Then there is July 4th.
I requested this of the city a few years ago and was told it was a "maintenance" issue. No, it's a FLAG issue.
So I am asking, if you live in the Duluth area and have seen this beauty, please sign the petition and write the Mayor, the City Council...
THE MONTH OF THE FLAG IS NOW!
We, the undersigned, call on the Duluth City Council, Duluth, Georgia to LEAVE OUR FLAGS UP from pre-Memorial Day til after July 4th. Flag Day is in June and these 3 days should have Flags aflyin'.
