In September of 2004, the Montreal Expos announced the end of the sport in Montreal and the moving of the franchise to Washington, DC for the 2005 season. However, since they have been there, there has been zero ties or recognition to the Montreal history of the team besides the record books.
I am petitioning to have the Montreal history of the team (stats, retired numbers, logo, colors, uniforms) remain in Montreal for respect and potential future use, as was done in the original Cleveland Browns' case when they moved to Baltimore in 1996.
We, the undersigned, call on Major League Baseball to return the history (stats, records, retired numbers, name, uniforms, logo) of the defunct Expos to Montreal for potential future use.
