Agriculture is involved in 1 in 10 jobs in the state of Missouri today, and we as a rural community are missing a educational facility for our youth to learn about the opportunities in the agriculture field. An agriculture department can involve everything from horticulture, animal husbandry, and metal works. It would include Future Farmers of America which not only teaches students a leadership rule but also responsibility for their own success. All of which give our youth another option for a future career and learning a good work ethic. In the state of Missouri annually there are on average 57,900 employment opportunities in ag, according to Mo.gov. If you agree I would love your support in this issue. This is a preliminary feeler to the public and any feedback would be welcome.
