The band class curriculum calls for the whole grade to be in the band room at one time. The band room is not large enough to fit the whole grade. The band room is on steps which is not the same as what would be on stage. The band class can not properly learn if the room is not large enough and if the room is not on a flat floor.
If the room is to be changed there will have to be smaller rooms connected for the storage of instruments and other equipment.
I believe that the band room in Hayes Middle School is too small for students to get a proper education. I believe that the room is not large enough to hold the amount of students taking the class.
We also want the band room floor to be flat.
