Lansing Residents against Ordinance Ch2, article IX, Sec 2-908

Recently the Residents of Lansing were informed they could not cut their grass as done for decades without mention. We have maintained our grass in the backyards of our residences to keep down rodents, animals, disease and attacks. The maintence of the grass is essential for the safety of children and the community as a whole. The recent actions by the Forest Preserve to limit our grass maintence is viewed as unnecessary and punitive by the Residents. We would like to bring this attention to our 4th District Commisioner , Mr. Stanley Moore and respectfully ask for him to review this dated ordinance and allow the Residents to properly maintain the grass as has been done for decades.
