Train operator Govia, in charge of Thameslink – the rail franchise running Govia Thameslink Railway – is set to cut the number of seats by more than 30 per cent on some trains for the whole of 2017.
They have confirmed there will between 23 and 30 per cent fewer seats for already-crowded rush hour services for about a year, throughout 2017. This means there will be no seats at all at Hitchin on the route to London.

We, the undersigned, call on Govia not to bring in the interim trains with fewer seats during 2017.
Instead we ask you to wait until you can introduce the new trains with more seats in 2018.
