Many women have proven themselves to be adept in the world of rock and roll.
Arguably the first was Janis Joplin but many who have come into prominence since her time include Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart, Pat Benatar, Stevie Nicks of Fleetwood Mac, Joan Jett, and, most recently of named, Amy Lee of Evanescence.
However, many are seeming to overlook the fact that Kelly Clarkson has proven herself a "rocker chick" as well. She is adept at most every style of music but seems to be most comfortable with rock music. She has released much more rock-oriented material lately, ever since "Since U Been Gone", the lightly bubbly rock that achieved pole position on Canada's Hot 100 chart.
I am pushing this also because I am vehemently promoting her new single, "Sober", which sounds like Sarah McLachlan's earlier work. The song is truly spellbinding, mystifying, and emotional.

We, the undersigned, agree that Kelly Clarkson's more recent, rock-oriented material deserves airplay on mainstream rock, active rock, alternative rock, and modern rock radio.
