In the present economic climate the UK construction industry is on its knees. A good percentage of UK construction personnel are self employed and therefore not on the unemployed register. These people are now living off their hard earned savings along with the unfortunates who were p.a.y.e. and now claim job seekers allowance whilst immigrant workers take their place.
My petition is based on the simple fact that the UK Olympics should be built by UK personnel its a flag to fly and its our flag.
We the undersigned call on the British government to ensure that the UK Olympics are built by UK construction personnel and that all posts at all levels should be offered to UK personnel in the first instance and every effort be made to replace immigrant workers with UK personnel.
These are the UK Olympics and should be built with UK pride and personnel.
It is our flag and we want to fly it.
