Nintendo will be shutting down the Wii's Online shop down January 30th 2019. I still use it personally. When the store goes down, you will no longer be able to download virtual console games or any other software. You can add and buy Wii points until March, 26th, 2018. After that you can only install and re-download items until January 30th, 2019
I want you to help keep the Wii's online shop online until at least 2022, Another 3 years. To extend the store's usability, I would hate to no longer have it around. Since there is so many virtual console titles for the Wii, I want to preserve these as long as possible. As when I am writing this, there is no virtual console for the Nintendo Switch.
