The heart of Sioux City lies in our downtown district. Its history, evolution and possibility for urban redevelopment reflect our desire to renovate two historic buildings. As an applicant for the new land-based casino in downtown Sioux City, the Warrior Casino & Hotel provides a variety of benefits to Siouxland residents.
The first and most important is local ownership. The Warrior Casino & Hotel project is majority owned by Ho-Chunk, Inc. and other local investors. Up to 70% of the Warrior Casino & Hotel revenue generated will stay in Siouxland as compared to the 3-6.5% of generated income offered by our competitors.
The Warrior Casino & Hotel amenities along with other great entertainment venues in downtown Sioux City will draw visitors from all over the Midwest. Our proposed casino and hotel location will act as an entertainment anchor; the magnitude and array of entertainment options and venues will create new tourism dollars for Siouxland.
