Keep Our Schools and Offices Cleaner!

When you send your children to school, you are putting them in the care of that organization. You are entrusting them to the teachers and to the staff and relying on the building itself being secure enough to keep them safe.
But it’s crucial that you don’t just think about the physical and direct threats to your children. What’s just as important is that you think about the health effects that might come from spending time in the school. Is the school perfectly hygienic? And more importantly: could it be better?
One of the things that often gets overlooked is carpet cleaning. Carpets in schools have always been tough and hard but they’re also often teaming with bacteria and dirt. It is not enough to simply vacuum a carpet. Using a proper carpet cleaner will remove bacteria from the fibers, it will remove dirt and dust and it will generally provide a much more thorough clean than would otherwise be possible.
A lot of schools just don’t do this. As a result, the carpets look clean on top but they are actually riddled with bacteria, covered in small dust and dirt particles and highly likely to cause asthma, allergic reactions and illness.
If you want your child to be as safe and healthy as possible, then I implore you to join with me in stopping this. It is time that schools started cleaning their carpets properly and putting the health of our children above their budgets.
And while we’re at it: we should also ask the same for our offices. When was the last time the carpet was cleaned in your place of work? You might be an adult but you are no less prone to illness and no less entitled to a clean environment to live and work with.
