Thanks to everyone who signed the 6th District Petition. Louise Allen, a concerned citizen in Danville, headed up this effort, and I have forwarded our signatures to her for submission to the Kentucky General Assembly.

Let the Kentucky General Assembly know that you support Senator Damon Thayer’s proposed re-districting plan and oppose any plan that removes Boyle, Jessamine, Garrard and Lincoln from the 6th District.

We need to get copies of all the signatures to the House and Senate by January 3 when they begin their next session, since redistricting will be one of the first things they will consider.
Let's fight to keep ALL of Central Kentucky in the 6th District!
Whereas, Boyle, Garrard, Jessamine and Lincoln counties are central Kentucky counties and should remain in the Sixth Congressional District; and
Whereas, some redistricting plans propose to move some or all of Boyle, Garrard, Jessamine and Lincoln counties out of the Sixth Congressional District; and
Whereas, any plan to break up central Kentucky into multiple congressional districts is not in the best interest of the citizens of central Kentucky; and
Whereas, Senator Damon Thayer has proposed a redistricting plan that would keep Boyle, Garrard, Jessamine and Lincoln counties in the Sixth Congressional District; and
Whereas, the undersigned citizens of central Kentucky strongly support Senator Damon Thayer’s proposal for redistricting and desire to keep Boyle, Garrard, Jessamine and Lincoln counties in the Sixth Congressional District;
Now, therefore, be it resolved that: (1) the Kentucky General Assembly adopt Senator Thayer's redistricting plan and (2) members of the General Assembly oppose any plan that would move Boyle, Garrard, Jessamine and/or Lincoln counties out of the Sixth Congressional District.
