This petition opposes Emma Aitken's appeal against her sentence for the brutal cold blooded murder of devoted father, brother, gypsy man and family man Barry Smith.
In a racially aggravated assault which took place in October 2013, Emma Aitken her father Vincent Aitken and her partner Nathan Doherty committed the callous, sickening attack in which Mr Smith was beaten to death with pool cues, fence posts and then set of fire.
In June 2014 all 3 were found guilty of murder. Emma Aitken received 12 yrs, Vincent Aitken 22 yrs and Nathan Doherty 18yrs. Emma Aitken has put in an appeal against her sentence and is trying to get her sentence reduced. Justice was not served when she received only 12 yrs.
