"JROTC recognizes students for their hard work and commitment to the program. For instance, the Navy JROTC reports 25 ribbons and medals a student can earn. These ribbons range from Physical Fitness, Honor Guard, Academic Award to the highest NJROTC ribbon, the Meritorious Achievement, which is awarded to the student who performed a meritorious act. JROTC is beneficial for all students. This program offers high school students a way to archive success in school and out in the world. JROTC teaches hard work, discipline, dissension making, life skills, getting connected with one another and leadership! The program is also connected to the drill team which will teach the key of discipline, self-control. The drill team has goals for first year students to build up their confidence, self esteem and leadership.
