"Jewelry" is a form of art that is created with a variety of materials not just precious metals and gems, but, glass, wood, plastics & clay as well as synthetic materials such as polypropylene, nylon & acrylic.
Using the above materials "jewelry" is created in necklaces, earrings, brooches, bracelets & rings.
With this being said, "jewelry" in all forms should be allowed to be sold on the streets of NYC along with painters & writers who express themselves though paint & paper. After all, Picasso, Man Ray, Calder, Meret Oppenheim, Dali & Nevelson who are all famous artists have created jewelry.
We, the undersigned, call on the powers that be, to allow jewelry to be sold on the great streets of NYC.
