For over the last decade, Winder Barrow High School has switched between their seniors graduation from Thursdays and Fridays. At 8 o'clock Thursday, May 24, 2012, the senior class graduated. The following year, the class of 2013 graduated May 17, on a Friday. Up until 2018, where graduation took place on a Thursday night, there has been a switch between the two graduation days at an equal consistency. However, for the year 2019, the board has now changed our graduation from its normal Friday to a Thursday.
We, the undersigned, call on the Board of Education to schedule the class of 2019's graduation date back to Friday May 24. Ever since the start of freshmen year, the class of 2019 has been counting down the moment to walking across the 50 yard line on that specific once in a lifetime Friday night. Reservations have been made in advance by families and friends everywhere, yet they're now possibly setback due to the unnecessary change of the graduation date.
