A report by Action Aid and Embu Citizens Oversight Network released on the 23rd of August 2020 has revealed massive misappropriation of funds in the Embu County health docket. Most of the health projects started more than two years ago have stalled and this has negatively impacted the delivery of health services to the residents of Embu county. The county government has shown little concern to address the matter. This report comes at a time when the Embu health service providers have gone on strike over salary cuts and unpaid allowances. If the situation persists, many residents will suffer since they depend on the county government for medical services.
We, the undersigned, call on the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission to investigate on the misappropriation of funds in the County's health docket.
