INVESTIGATE CONSPIRACIES TO PERPETUATE ELECTORAL VIOLENCE IN THE 2012 GENERAL ELECTIONS

Considering the fact that the 2012 general election is a few days away and the requirement that all politicitians, parties, civil societies and all citizens endeavour to promote peace and stability before, during and after the general elections; A member of Nana Akuffo Addo's campaign team have consistently decided to plan towards thwarting the efforts of the country to attain this goal.

In a tape we chanced on recently and of which a copy is attached to this petition, the said person, Anthony Abayifa Karbo, elaborates on a scheme he has already put in motion to recruit, maintain and operationalise the activities of Machomen and mercenaries from Liberia, Libya, Benin and Togo to interfere in the electoral process.

In the tape, he also states categorically his planned intentions to attack state institutions like the Police, the Military, the National Security and the BNI. To quote him he said, "There is a whole lot of warefare in addition to that, first week or second week in November we need to start attacking the national institutions like the police, like the military and the National Security and the BNI." This already is a threat to national security and could be also amount to the machinations of a terrorist.

He also states that " ... I'm saying that all thse are part of the issues but you have to hit particular offices in the EC, Director of Operation, CID boss and this Hamidu guy, those are key" this also acts as a threat to the lives and security of high state officials. It is therefore incumbent on the state to take appropriate measures to protect these persons working in the interest of the state and also curtail the plans of such miscreants like Anthony Karbo and his group of nation reckers.

We also take note of the allegations of fierce attacks in the Ashanti Region of NDC polling agents which left some of them battered and considering the fact that he has stated that he was going to put in place mechanisms to protect the "Ashanti Region, Western Region, Eastern Region and all the five Akan regions" we want to know what manner of protection he wants to institute and to find out if the security services have decided to cede its responsibility of protecting this nation.
