Some recent instances:
•Puneet Puneet - killed a student in City Road whilst travelling at 160 kmh and with a blood alcohol of 0.165% let out on bail and took over a month to notice he had jumped bail - in India
•Ryan Johns - kicked a man in the head 2001 got a good behaviour bond, kicked a man in the head to death 2002 (while on the bond) got 3 years then got out and; kicked a man in the head 2009 and threatened a potential witness - 8 months
•Danielle Boundy - Assaulted lover and kidnapped child - two years jail suspended for three years (on mental grounds - but no medical criteria).
•Mr Liu / Caratozzolo- Dropped Dr Cao Zhongjun on his head and kicked him to death, laughed and ran off to bash another person - Minimums of six years and 10 years respectively.

Of rape convictions in the last 5 years 144 of 188 (77%) convictions have received 6 years or less with only nine receiving more then 10 years.
