John McCain added Sarah Palin to the Republican ticket on August 29th. Now, with less than two months until election day, it is critical that the American people have the opportunity to learn more about Palin.
The McCain campaign has been limiting access by the news media to Palin. Given Palin's lack of exposure on the national scene and the incredibly short amount of time that Americans have to form an opinion about her, it is imperative that reporters be allowed to question Palin on her experience, record, and positions on the issues without restriction by the McCain campaign.
By adding your name to this petiton, you are respectfully asking that John McCain and his campaign immediately allow reporters from reputable news media to interview Sarah Palin on matters relevant to her ability to serve as the Vice President of the United States and to question her on issues of significance to the American people.
We, the undersigned, respectfully request that the news media be granted immediate access to Sarah Palin for the purpose of interviewing her about her experience, record, positions on the major issues of this presidential election, and readiness to serve as Vice President of the United States of America.
