Many children get killed every year when crossing a "safe" crossing controlled by traffic lights.
When kids wait at a crossing patiently for that "green man" to appear, unfortunately these children still aren't safe. Some children sadly find themselves under a car or narrowly missed by a car that has run a red light.
Our kids are becoming scared to cross the roads, even "safe" crossings with traffic lights, because of the risk of getting hit by a car.
We, the undersigned, are sick of cars running red lights on traffic light crossing near schools.
We teach our kids road safety yet when the green man comes on cars still drive through the red lights and don't care about the safety of the children.
Reckless drivers should be fined when they cross red lights and put our kids in danger.
Our kids' lives matter more than fast traffic and convenient parking!
