Mill Creek Road/Seattle Hill Road's speed limit is currently 25 mph. This speed limit is unnecessaryily slow and needs to be re examined by the City of Mill Creek. Local residents of Mill Creek and neighboring cities are being taken advantage of with the use of a low speed limit as a speed trap. With a small speed increase on this road, speeding tickets and commuter traffic will likely decrease. With safe crosswalks and a stoplight already in place, increasing the speed limit cannot be seen as a safety hazard.
We, the undersigned, call on the City of Mill Creek to increase the speed limit from the intersection of 35th avenue and Seattle Hill Road to the intersection of 164th street and highway 527.
