Parking on the south side of Seaside Way, east of Linden Ave., was eliminated a few years ago. Residents on Ocean Avenue currently have few choices for street parking.
Parking will become even more restricted as residential buildings, such as the Shoreline Gateway Project, are added along East Ocean Blvd.
Some of the few parking spaces available on Seaside Way are currently used by visitors to avoid paying parking fees. Using resident-only placards will increase the revenue in city-owned parking garages.
We the undersigned request that resident-only parking be allowed on both sides of Seaside Ave - east of Linden Ave.
We also request that the city distribute resident-only parking placards/decals to the managers of 600 E Ocean Blvd and 525 Seaside Way to be distributed to residents.
We request that the city of Long Beach determine the feasibility of angle parking along Seaside Way-East of Linden to add additional parking spaces.
