Over the past few years, due to budget cuts and a change in the designation of the school itself (from a college to a university), the Ontario College of Art and Design has reduced the number of model hours the students are allotted. This is irreparably damaging the students’ abilities. Regardless of designations OCAD remains an art school, first and foremost.
I believe that it is imperative that OCAD increase the number of model hours that the school provides for the students and the alumni, also that they should add free life drawing sessions for extra credits.
We the undersigned demand an increase to the number of model hours provided for us.
