We had a horrific time at East Surrey hospital when my husband was dying and visiting hours were only 3 hours per day excluding all meal times.
Although at the end when he was unconscious we were allowed to stay for nearly 24 hours.
We ask East Surrey Hospital to increase visiting hours form 3 to 6 hours a day for the well being of the patient.
The anguish caused by the short visiting hours is immeasurable, especially to confused and dependent patients.
