There have been previous requests made, regarding the business district parking pattern with both past and present administrations.
As the parking patterns, times & meter situation continue to deteriorate the business district, we would ask that you meet with us at a time that doesn't conflict with our business hours, so that we can discuss some simple and easily implemented solutions to an ever increasing problem.
As the situation stands now, and as things continue to move in the wrong direction, we are all losing business daily.
We are battling so many other troubles: the economic climate, job loss, closing casinos, post-Sandy issues, the list goes on. We need to do all we can to make our city a desirable place to visit. This is where we need your help.
It was our understanding that your goal as Mayor was to revitalize our business district.
We have found the opposite to be true. We do not think this is your intent, and feel that we can agree upon a resolution that will benefit all.
We, the undersigned, call on the Mayor and commissioners of Ventnor to meet with us to discuss the increasingly deteriorating business district, mainly due to the present parking patterns.
Since the confusing parking changes have been made,AGAIN, all of our businesses have suffered loss. We will continue to do so if some positive changes are not made to benefit all.
We request this meeting be arranged at a time that doesn't conflict with our business hours.
The regularly scheduled commissioner meetings do conflict, or we would have certainly been to them.
We have some simple and easily implemented ideas that will benefit all, and encourage visitors to return. As it stands now, most visitors are so frustrated, they have clearly stated that they will take their business to areas better suited to meet their needs.
