"The regulation uniform takes effect from the opening of school in September through the closing of school in June.

The school uniform consists of a plaid kilt, a white shirt, green sweater, green socks, uniform shoe, and ID card. Sneakers are not permitted. Seniors wear a cardigan sweater. Only plain white T-shirts may be worn underneath the school shirt. The uniform skirt length should be just at the knee. Short skirts are not permitted.

Tattoos, facial jewelry (nose/tongue rings, etc), piercings, and unnatural hair colors (including streaks, ombre, etc.) are not permitted at any time during school or at any school-sponsored function. No excessive or inappropriate jewelry is permitted. Students must wear the IHA Physical Education uniform and supportive athletic footwear (sneakers) for all physical education classes. The regulation gym apparel can be purchased at the Campus Shop."

IHA's student body has been forced to endure the elements with no option of garment covering the thigh to the ankle. The Class of 2017 has been reprimanded for the violations of dress code made by all classes.

We, the people whose names are signed below, call on the administration of Immaculate Heart Academy (IHA) to reform the dress code in order to accommodate the needs of the students. Unless our needs are met, we demand that Jason Schlereth, Principal of IHA, wear a kilt for a one week period during the winter month of February. If he does so, we will collectively cease dress code resistance, as it will be proven that he truly understands the plight of the IHA student.
