The Art of Living Foundation is an international non-proft educational and humanitarian organization. The foundation is active in more than 140 countries and offers educational and self development programs designed to elimitate stress and foster a sense of wellbeing.
In the United States, the foundation's programs are helping inner city youth turn away froim gang violence, drugs and alcoohol. Graduates of the Art of Living course work as volunteers and are helping rebuilt the fabric of American society.
The foundation has undertaken numerous service projects around the world, from providing material and trauma relief to the survivors of the south Asian tsunami and teaching post trauma relief programs in Iraq, to providing prisoner rehabilitation programs in India, South Africa, and the United States.
The foundation is dedicated to empowering individuals to change society, and is particularly committed to reducing violence in the DC area.
The Art of Living Youth Empowerment Seminar (YES!+)being ofered in the Dc area is an innovative and dynamic life-skills program that provides individuals with the tools to achive their goals in life with creativity and dynamism and emphasises the importance of upholding human values such as non-violence and compassion.
