Shortly after the release of the S520 draft for ANSI public review, conversations among those familiar with the standard and its development raised credible concerns about who actually wrote the latest revisions.
It is our understanding that to attain ANSI accreditation, the consensus body is required to write the language and then vote their approval of the release of the document for public review. If you would like further information, please contact Carl Grimes at grimes@habitats.com
Before we spend unnecessary time and effort on attempting to move this important document forward, we request written documentation showing that the S520 consensus body wrote all of the language and formally voted approval of its release in full compliance with ANSI requirements.
